New features added to M1 by B&G Version 3.0 Affordable ERP Software for manufacturing operations

Additional new features for the M1 ERP software by Bowen & Groves have been added in the latest Version 3.0 release. M1 by B&G is setting the standard in ERP software

February 16 2004--M1 has established a user base of over 300 installed sites in Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada and the UK, because it has been specifically designed for the small to medium sized manufacturing sector, including jobbing shops, custom and mixed mode manufacturing and offers total integration from the initial quote through to invoicing the customer.

Developed for a Microsoft SQL server with a Microsoft Outlook look and feel, M1 runs on all popular Windows platforms.

The exciting new features of Version 3.0 include a free view only user facility, allowing users to print, email and export their valuable data for free.

M1s unlimited view only users means customers can now reduce the number of users they require and therefore reduce their cost of ownership.

The new advanced bill of materials module includes important features such as serial number assignment and tracking, revision control, lot/batch number tracking and find and replace tools to increase productivity.

A product configurator module has been added in Version 3.0 enabling the configuration of a dimensional or configurable part based on rules or parameters to accommodate different options, a simple and flexible tool which provides significant advantages.

A new project management module ties together all quotes, jobs, orders, purchases and accounts receivable and accounts payable invoices to a specific project, assign a project manager, track progress, create follow-ups that integrate with Microsoft Outlook so a milestone will never be missed.

Two additional major features include an enhanced print related documents check box available with the document management module this allows the automation of issuing all documents for work orders or job travellers.

Advanced Inventory Management now includes an alternative parts grid which provides the ability to look for price options or in a shortage find a suitable alternative part.

Complementing the additional features in M1 Version 3.0 are some 370 additional enhancements to various modules.
